this phone is for snooty noobs who cant get the standard edition because it isnt good enough for them. they are either realy insecure or think that they will be cool if they go round flashing their LG that says prada on it. if you want a prada phone just get a permenant marker. and in the most in your face writing you can do write prada in big letters on the back of your phone. that way when people see you talking on it they will know you have a whole lot of money.

i bought this mobile phone after am sorry to say getting ripped of on ebay buying the viewty ku990, the prada mobile is no were near as good as the lg viewty, but it has just as good looking,the memory is very pour, 2 pictures and 1 song and the phone mem is full,there for you just can not get by with out a mem card, if your into music then a 2gb card would be enough, but what ever the case a mem card will needed if you want to store stuff, but all n all it is a very good phone nice looking and the tutch screen performs well,and it is very simple to use, and for me as a member of the older geniration then that can only be a big plus,its a great phone,like it loads...........

The LG Prada phone had been recommended as a best buy by Which? magazine. With a score of 66%; the highest score being 69% I thought i had made a sound investment. Even at the RRP of over £300 I though that was vastly overpriced, so opted to purchase a new handset via Ebay for a little ovr £120....upon using the phone for several months now, I am of the opinnion that even that price is vastly over inflated.

Pros are that it looks nice and sexy, and is incredibly light...so light in fact, that I even forgot I'd left it in my pocket and not realising it was there, mistakenly washed it...I can confirm that it failed the biggest durability test of all...having said that, I don't believe weight is always a pro...the texting functionality is also easy to use, apart from the occasions where the varying buttons forget that they are more than one letter, and decide to stick at the first option....also, the MP3 player is pretty good, fantastic had you wanted an IPOD. Calling is relatively easy, as you'd expect from a phone and the external buttons are pretty self explanatory.

Now, following the Pros; if you can call them pros, on to the cons...well, Which? gave the Prada phone 4 out of 5 stars for durability, Why and How? After a month, the Prada signature strip faded and all the nice sexy silver lining rubbed off to reveal a sleak black inner core, which then scratched as easy as running a knife through butter...just like the rest of the phone really....I found the Prada easily scratches and the front screen suffers from wear and tear far too easily. The 2mp camera is shockingly bad, so bad it fails to take any clear photos, even in daylight. I also don't like the fact that the headphones provided are USB only...interesting choice and I can see why they went for that option...the USB port obviously doubles up with it also used to link to the PC, but that means the headphones are not to be used in any other device.

To sum up, you could easily spend £30 on a phone that would quite satisfactorly carry out the same functions and not look like a piece of garbage after one months use.

Hi,i've had my Prada mobile for just under a week and I can honestly say it's the best mobile i've ever had! I am no gadget expert but this is so easy to use and has all of the things you normally get from a mobile. The touch screen is great, the camera is excellent! All in all this mobile is superb and above all it looks sooooo gorgeous too!!!

For starters, I have to get this out there: the start up sound on that is one of the scariest, sharpest and piercing sounds I have heard in my entire life. It sounds like someone amplified the sound of someone removing a rusty sword from its scabbard, times 1000. As soon as you turn a phone on and you hear a noise like that, you know something's been seriously overlooked, or at least created in a hurry.

Does anyone else think it's a little funny that Prada and LG announced a mobile phone with a touch screen interface at exactly the same time that Apple announced the iPhone, a device that looks remarkable similar and also with a touch screen? To me, the LG Prada phone is just another hurried clone of the iPhone, except with a Prada logo cheaply printed on the front. Why should we pay a premium for a logo that's probably going to get scratched off in our pockets?

Why do I say hurried? Well, there are just so many things that they could have improved, mostly in the touch screen. Sometimes it takes three or four tries to get the screen to respond, and if the screen is locked, you have to migrate to one of the smart keys on the side of the phone that isn't even in plain view to unlock the screen. Then, of course, there are those little alerts that come up to tell you that your message has been sent. The alerts in themselves are quite welcome but it's the little animations that appear on them that get me, like the little check to tell you a task has been completed. It seems to be the same old check that's been appearing on LG phones for years. Couldn't they have improved the animation and maybe added a more stylish touch? I though I was buying a device that Prada had a hand in making! So what's up with all these little touches that seem so ordinary and cheap? After all, I though I was buying a luxury device! Well, you weren't. You were simply buying a device that broke your bank for no good reason. And come on, it was so hurried that they couldn't come up with a better name than "Prada Phone by LG." Really creative.

You know what's funny? In the United States, these LG Prada phones retail for $800. The iPhone, a significantly smarter, more stylish, more useful, and altogether more streamlined (and with much more internal storage capacity) retails there at $499 for the 4GB model and $599 for the 8GB model. This has to be one of the few and far between areas that Americans are being smart. They choose to buy the more stylish, more functional, and altogether amazing iPhone, instead of another old LG device, but with a Prada logo tacked on it. So I'd say wait for the iPhone to arrive in England.
